Administration
Users & Roles
Understand who can access the system and what they can do.
⌘ K
Access follows responsibility
Users and roles determine who can access the platform and which operational responsibilities belong to them. The exact permissions depend on the roles configured in the application.
Administrator
Owns organisation-level configuration, users and system administration.
Manager
Works across operational and commercial workflows with broader oversight.
Staff
Handles the day-to-day records and workflow actions assigned to the team.
Other users
Use only the capabilities granted to their configured role.
What a good role model looks like
Responsibility should narrow as work becomes operational

Good access hygiene
- Give users the minimum role necessary for their responsibilities.
- Review inactive or unnecessary accounts.
- Do not solve workflow problems by granting broad permissions without understanding the dependency.
- When an action is unavailable, first check the user's role and the record's workflow state before changing permissions.
When troubleshooting access
Separate permission problems from workflow-state problems. A user may have permission to perform an action while the record is not yet ready for that action.
