Administration

Media Vendors

Manage the vendors and media suppliers used by placements.

Media vendors are the supply side

A media vendor represents the organisation through which media is purchased or executed. The vendor becomes important during planning, release orders, execution reconciliation and vendor invoicing.

Print vendors

For print, newspapers and editions belong to the appropriate media vendor. The vendor is the parent supply-side entity; a newspaper is a media property associated with that vendor.

Vendor type matters

The platform uses the media vendor's type to determine whether publisher-style behaviour applies. This is preferable to maintaining a separate publisher master for the same supply-side organisation.

Why this distinction matters

Keeping the vendor model consistent prevents the system from having two competing concepts for the same supplier and makes placement, rate-card and publication relationships easier to understand.
